How do I get a Green CSCS Labourers Card?
In order to apply for your green CSCS Labourer Card you must be aged 16+ and have a recognised construction health and safety qualification, such as the Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification. You must also have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test within the past two years. Providing you have passed the Operative CITB Health, Safety and Environment test and have completed a recognised construction health and safety qualification, you are then eligible to apply for the green cscs labourers card. The HS&E test costs £21 and can be booked directly with the CITB (https://www.citb.co.uk/courses-and-qualifications/hse-test-and-cards/about-hse-test/). The CSCS Card itself costs £36 in addition to the HS&E test. In order to apply for the CSCS card, you will need to submit proof of your construction health and safety qualification certificate along with proof of your successful HS&E test.
How do I get a Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card?
In order to apply for your blue CSCS skilled worker Card you must be able to prove competence within your trade or occupational area. This will generally be following successful completion of a Level 2 Construction related NVQ or SVQ. You must also have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test within the past two years. Providing you have passed the Operative CITB Health, Safety and Environment test and have completed a recognised construction related Level 2 qualification, you are then eligible to apply for the blue cscs skilled worker card.
How do I get a Gold CSCS Supervisors Card?
In order to apply for your gold CSCS supervisors Card you must have completed a construction related supervisory Level 3 or 4 NVQ or SVQ. You must also have passed the CITB Supervisors Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test within the past two years. Providing you have passed the Supervisors CITB Health, Safety and Environment test and have completed a recognised construction related Level 3 or 4 qualification, you are then eligible to apply for the gold cscs supervisors card.
How do I get a Black CSCS Managers Card?
In order to apply for your black CSCS managers Card you must have completed a construction related managerial Level 5, 6 or 7 NVQ or SVQ. You must also have passed the CITB managers and professionals Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test within the past two years. Providing you have passed the managers and professionals CITB Health, Safety and Environment test and have completed a recognised construction related Level 5, 6 or 7 qualification, you are then eligible to apply for the black cscs managers card.
Do you offer flexible payment options on all your Qualifications?
All our qualifications come with flexible payment options ranging from, payment in full, 50% up front - 50% on completion, and monthly payments over 3 to 6 months. To discuss alternative payment options please get in touch, we will be happy to help.
When can I start my NVQ?
Start dates are ongoing. We will work with you to decide on a suitable date.
Do I need time off work for my NVQ?
No. Our NVQs encourage site visits and to use existing knowledge and experience. You will not need to visit us. Unless you choose to do so.
Can I complete my NVQ from overseas?
Our Construction NVQ’s require onsite assessments, therefore, they would need to be completed within the UK. However our Occupational Health and Safety NVQs use an online portfolio. Therefore, assessments can take place via skype calls and there are no requirements for site visits.
Do you cover the whole of the UK?
Whilst a number of our courses are delivered in our training centre based in South Wales, we also cover all parts of the UK in our delivery. We can travel to your business premise and deliver any of our taught courses in house and occasionally at discounted rates. (Based on number of learners and location). We offer a variety of online courses through our e-learning platform https://videotilehost.com/4dacademy/purchaseCourse.php , that can be completed anywhere in the UK from the comfort of your home or office. We also cover all of the UK in the delivery of our Construction and Health and Safety NVQ’s, ranging from level 2 - various trades, up to level 6 Site Management. Our assessors are highly experienced, and are able to support learners in evidencing the units required for each qualification without the need for constant site visits. Where site visits are required, assessors will travel to sites and arrange such visits with minimal disruption to the learners work environment.
What are NVQ’S?
NVQ’S – National vocational qualifications. Are qualifications that are used to prove that a person has competence within their role or vocational area.
Do NVQ’S expire?
No. Unlike traditional courses that often expire after 3-5 years, NVQ’s do not expire and do not require a requalification.
How is training delivered?
In a way that meets your needs. This could be through: 1-2-1 training - For individuals. Group training - For multiple learners or staff, either in one location or across multiple sites. Webinars - Live sessions for multiple learners or staff members, either in one location or across multiple sites. Pre-recorded videos - On the subject of your choices, accessible as and when required by multiple staff across sites. Online remote - Through presentations and set learning plans.
How long do NVQ’S take to complete?
This depends on the qualification you are doing. This can be planned to meet your needs. Don’t worry if it takes you longer. Everyone works at a different pace.
