This NVQ Diploma in Wood Occupations - Carpentry aims to recognise the knowledge, skills, and competence of individuals who specialise in a wood-based occupation within the construction industry. From there, developing into an experienced worker in the carpentry industry.
This carpentry diploma is designed for those who work in a wood occupation role in the construction sector. The qualification allows learners to demonstrate their competence in order to apply for the CSCS blue skilled worker card. A blue CSCS card is a card used as proof and evidence of competency in their role as a worker in any form of construction.

This qualification will assess a learner’s competence in their current job role. Learners must be aged 16+ and be working in a role that actively allows them to show their abilities as a skilled worker in the following units.
The learner will be assessed using a range of methods tailored to the learner's needs. These vary from on-site assessments, observations, written questions, evidence generated from the workplace, professional discussion, and witness testimonials.
