The aim of the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Construction Operations and Civil Engineering Services – Groundworks qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills, and competence demonstrated by an individual in the workplace. It provides the opportunity for individuals who specialise in general building operations to demonstrate their competence. It also provides a nationally recognised qualification for individuals working in this sector. Individuals will, as always, show acknowledgment of general health, safety, and welfare of themselves and others.
The NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Construction Operations and Civil Engineering (Groundworks) is designed for those that work in the construction sector, and who wish to demonstrate their competence in order to apply for the blue CSCS card.

The learner will be assessed using a range of methods tailored to the learners needs. These vary from on-site assessments, observations, written questions, evidence generated from the workplace, professional discussion, and witness testimonials.
