This qualification is supported by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and develops Learners’ basic awareness of health and safety in a construction environment. It includes knowing the risks of working within a construction environment and the principles of risk assessment for improving health and safety at work, the importance of safe manual handling, the importance of working safely at height and the importance of working around equipment safely.
The Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification is aimed at learners who currently work, or want to work, in construction. Successful completion will enable you to move on to take the CITB health, safety and environment test, and then apply for the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Green Card.
Classroom - Classroom taught course delivered in 1 day at our training venue based in South Wales. Alternatively where 6+ places are booked, we would consider delivering the course at your venue.

Learners could progress onto one of our Level 2 Construction NVQ Diplomas in their chosen occupational area in order to obtain the blue cscs skilled worker card. They would need to demonstrate experience and competence in their chosen occupational area.
